Michelle offers in-home private training sessions to provide puppy to adult canine basic obedience and manners.  We are now offering live, video consultations to adhere to social distancing and sheltering at home requirements.  

 

 

Puppy Prep  Prepare your home for a new puppy.  It’s so important to start off on the right ‘paw’ which may begin prior to the puppy’s arrival or shortly thereafter.  Puppies are so sweet but need guidance from the beginning to learn good behaviors. We will focus on potty training, bite inhibition, crate training, socialization and training to help your puppy adjust to your family’s lifestyle.

 

 

 

 

 

Basic Manners  Helping to improve skills such as ‘Sit’, ‘Down’, ‘Wait’, ‘Stay’ and ‘Leave It’ can help to establish basic house manners and improve the communication between you and your dog.

 

 

 

 

Problem Solving  Jumping, loose leash walking, crate training and resource guarding are just some examples of typical problems that owners may experience with their dogs.  We can work on solutions to give you that little extra help needed to resolve these issues and make living with your dog an even better experience.

 

 

 

 

 

Pet Therapy Preparation  Pet therapy is a rewarding experience.  Your dog needs to have the right temperament and skills to do this job.  Michelle is an experienced pet therapy volunteer as well as instructor and evaluator who can help you assess your dog and help to get your canine companion ready to pass a pet therapy evaluation.

 

 

 

 

AKC Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Evaluations  Michelle is a certified evaluator for the American Kennel Club (AKC).  Your dog can earn titles for Canine Good Citizen (CGC, CGCA) and Trick Dog (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Performer).  The Canine Good Citizen test was designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community.  The Trick Dog titles are a fun way to do more with your dog.  Training builds that bond between you and your dog and what better way to show off than to have your dog perform fun tricks!  NEW – AKC is now allowing video verification for evaluations.  You can submit your dog’s tricks on video to us for review to earn AKC Trick Dog titles.
